More about the company:

Michael Wahl is the 3rd generation confectioner and owner of Wahl's Candies.  The Wahl family began making and selling chocolates from their home in the mid Thirties.  In 1946 Bud Wahl and his mother Margaret opened a candy store and soda fountain on Genesee Street.  Bud met his wife, Dorothy, while working at the fountain and she joined him in the business after they were married.

Bud and Dorothy are now retired.  Mike's wife, Kathy, has also joined him in the business.  Bud and his son, Dave, manufacture and sell the Wahl Peppy Pumper, a chocolate metering pump that Bud invented and began marketing in 1974.

In 1967, Wahl's Candies moved to 2351 Genesee Street  in Cheektowaga, NY.  The building was a large farmhouse built in 1827.  In 2004, the Store and Candy Kitchen moved to a new building at 130 Losson Road.

Wahl's Candies is a member of the Retail Confectioner's International.
